Koehlke is committed to professional affiliations with organizations that promote quality and reliability in the manufacture and distribution of electronic components and assemblies. Some organizations where we value our involvement include AFCEA (and Dayton-Wright AFCEA Chapter), ECIA (formerly NEDA), ERA, GIDEP, WHMA and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
AFCEA International, established in 1946, is a non-profit association for command, control, communications, computer and intelligence professionals. AFCEA serves the military, government, industry and academia markets as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence and global security. ECIA, formerly NEDA (National Electronic Distribution Association), is a not-for-profit trade association representing supplier authorized distributors of electronic components, like Koehlke, and their manufacturer-suppliers, like Koehlke’s Distribution Partners. ECIA is dedicated to enhancing the authorized distributor-manufacturer relationship, while educating engineers, customers and industry contacts on the perils of counterfeit products, and the importance of purchasing from authorized sources. With more than 70 years since their foundation, they are the “Voice of Authorized Distribution” on industry issues for hundreds of companies involved in supplier authorized electronics distribution. The ERA is an alliance of professional field sales representatives for the electronics industry. The ERA’s mission is to support the outsourced field sales function in the global electronics industry through programs and activities that educate, inform and advocate for professional manufacturers' representatives and the manufacturers they represent. Since 1935, the ERA has worked to promote and protects the outside field sales function through manufacturers’ reps as partners in the marketing process, giving reps a voice. Read more about the ERA.
GIDEP, the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program, is a cooperative effort between government and industry participants, like Koehlke, who seek reduction or elimination of resource expenditures by sharing technical information essential during research, design, development, production and operational phases of the life cycle of systems, facilities and equipment. Since GIDEP's inception in the 1950s, participants have reported more than $1 BILLION in prevention of unplanned expenditures. Read more about GIDEP.
The WHMA® is a non-profit trade association established in 1993. The WHMA® is the only organization exclusively serving American manufacturers of wiring harnesses, electronic cable assemblies, and cord sets, along with their suppliers and distributors.
